An important copy of this scholarly work that traces the history of exorcism and demonic possession in early Spanish and English literature. While this might not be the sexiest of dedication copies in the world, this one is quite special in my opinion. Hilaire was a noted professor at Texas A&M as well as being a recognized leader in the world of comparative literature. Her work was cut short in 2024 after being killed by a garbage truck at the young age of only 50.
