Scarce original two-page signed letter from District Superintendent Andrew B. Wood to Reverend H.L. Brockway. Fairly shocking letter accusing the Reverend of "stonewalling" the Anti-Saloon League by not letting them speak to the congregation in over three years. While originally started in Ohio, the Anti-Saloon Leagure of New York became the most successful organization of it's kind in the country. A tremendous example of the tenacity involved in the prohibition movement prior to the 1919 18th amendment. Nice condition with original fold marks. SCARCE. OCLC locates "0" copies.
