Bumpus Mills, TN. 4 1/4 X 5 1/4 Inches. 42 PP. Item #7720

"We will use no scientific terms, but plain every-day talk." - Perry Boren

Very scarce original 19th Century Southern manual written on how to fire and operate a coal/wood fired engine on a farm. OCLC locates "0" copies. Housed in original stapled wraps. This early tract on operating your farm equipment printed in Hamlin, Kentucky, but written by Perry Boren of Dover (Bumpus Mills), Tennessee. Being a product of West Tennessee myself, it is hard to believe that any farmer in the area even had the money to purchase a coal fired tractor. Circa 1880.

Price: $100.00
