Important early book by Marie Neurath, ground-breaking graphic designer, who along with her husband, founded the ISOTYPE Studio. The method of visual explanation they and others developed became known as ‘Isotype’ (International System of Typographic Picture Education). She specialized in breaking down complicated ideas graphically for the purpose of educating children. "Designed by ISOTYPE" on rear panel of DJ. Light wear to covers and a discreet PO stamp to FFEP. Jacket a bit chipped at spine ends and folds. A scarce book in an even scarcer jacket.
