Jones is widely considered the "Father of Contemporary Animation" and his work won him three Academy Awards during his lifetime. He either wrote, created and/or directed many of the Looney Tunes characters that are now considered classics in the field. His work included Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner, Pepé Le Pew, Marvin the Martian, and Porky Pig, among others. While he did not solely create all of these characters, he was part of the original Warner Brothers Cartoon team that did. His other adaptations included "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" and "The Phantom Tollbooth."
