Novelist and screenwriter (1902-2000) known for writing horror and sci-fi films, most notably The Wolf Man and Donovan's Brain. #17 of the limited edition of 400 copies signed by Siodmak. Additionally signed and inscribed to a good friend and "my lightship in the storm of publishing this book" on the dedication page. Siodmak wrote the screenplays for nearly 50 classic horror and Sci-Fi films from the 40's to 70's. Some of his other greats include Frankestein Meets The Wolfman (1943), The Ape (1940), The Invisible Woman (1940), Son of Dracula (1943) and Love Slaves of the Amazons (1957).
Extensive autobiography that traces his roots of being Jewish in Nazi Germany to his immigration to the United States to his legendary Hollywood career. A few creases to front flap.
