Vanderbilt's RENO was the basis for the 1939 film starring Ruth Roland in her talking movie premiere. RENO tells the story of a divorce in Reno, Nevada, where Vanberbilt himself was living since his first divorce in the city in 1927. Vanderbilt famously married and divorced six times in his life.
