Steranko is also known for his conceptual art work done for Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. His concept art for Indy was actually used for the original boardgame and action figure packaging. This issue only a month or so after the release of movie features coverage of several Star Wars concepts that were not included in the film. Articles on Star Wars permeate the issue. Features art by Ralph McQuarrie, Joe Johnston and Ron Cobb. OF GREAT INTEREST TO THE STAR WARS COLLECTOR WAS THE COVERAGE OF THE BIRTH OF "THE STAR WARS MARKETPLACE" on the final page of the magazine. The story features information on Charlie Lippincott and the marketing team at Star Wars and the upcoming products that fans can expect to see. Of special note is the announcement of the Topps Trading Card series and the new figures that are in production at Kenner.
No shipping label! A very attractive copy overall. A bit of scuffing to covers.
