Lot of THREE original NASA Press Releases from 1962. These bulletins are from the collection of NASA Chief of Public Relations, Ken Grine. The first piece is titled "Fact Sheet" and describes the John Glenn piloted mission from start to finish (6 PP). The name "Grine" in ink on top of first page. The second release (stapled to the first) is dated January 21, 1962 and details the "Mercury Recovery Force." This 3 PP release has several corrections in blue ink. The third and final release is dated January 21, 1962 and is numbered "62-8" under the NASA logo. This press release is titled "Mercury - Atlas 6 At A Glance" and details the entire operations of John Glenn and his Friendship-7 rocket (6 PP). The Mercury 6 project was piloted by Astronaut John Glenn and was the first American orbital flight in space. Very appealing lot of original NASA press releases from the collection of the man who was in charge of their creation and release to the public. Original staples in upper left corner. Light toning.
