Philadelphia: Avil Printing Company, 1898. First Edition, First Printing. Cloth. 5 1/2 X 8 Inches. 119 PP. Good. Item #3835

Signed, "Blaine Donaldson - With the Regards of Thomas Donaldson. March 23 - 1898 - First One Issued" directly on the title-page. A splendid association of the first book issued signed to author's own son. A very scarce first printing in the original maroon cloth binding. History of Thomas Jefferson and his work on the Declaration of Independence as well as the United States Constitution. A rather interesting history of the homes Jefferson wrote in. Hinges cracked. Wear to edges and corners. A bit of chipping to crown and foot of spine. Obviously, a well loved and used copy of this important book.
