Original Typed Letter Signed (TLS) from Alfred S. Regnery, son of publishing giant Henry Regnery. Alfred Regnery was an American lawyer and political activist for his entire career. Early letter from Regnery while serving as Chairman of the Student Ad Hoc Committee in reference to garnering support from Rutgers College. A rare surviving example of SUPPORT for the growing conflict in Vietnam from at least a portion of the youth in America. From 1981 to 1986, Regnery served as deputy assistant attorney general of the Land and Natural Resources Division of the United States Department of Justice. In 1983, he was appointed by President Ronald Reagan as administrator of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. Although possibly misguided in his youth, Regnery has remained a Washington publishing insider for his entire life. He notably published The American Spectator political magazine from 2003 to 2012.
