Venice, CA: WET Enterprises, 1978. First Edition, First Printing. Original wraps. 8 1/2 X 11 Inches. 66 PP. Near Fine. Item #825
May/June, 1978 issue. Original stapled wraps. Important, trend-setting magazine produced from 1976 to 1981. WET became known as one of, if not the magazine that had the greatest impact on design during it's tenure. Each issue featured design elements that would come to define terms like "postmodern" and "new wave." The magazine most certainly has a look and feel about it that I would define as PUNK.
This issue, number 12, features a multi-page interview with surfer and "Wave Cultist", Anthony Friedkin. Also features "It's Fizzy, It's Fun: A History of Seltzer Water" by Eugenie Bafaloukos. Light nudity and the trendy Los Angeles ads that aided in the popularity of this magazine. Both of the original subscription "pull-out" tabs are still intact. The slightest bit of scuffing at spine, but a stunning copy overall.
