First edition in the original green cloth binding. Study of the finches that Charles Darwin discovered in the Galapagos, which eventually led to his theories on evolution. This copy previously owned and stamped by Edward Smith Deevey, prominent American ecologist and paleolimnologist. Deevey was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 1981. DJ a bit worn at folds and spine ends. A nice association copy.
