The copyright page states 1920, but this edition contains the "produced under wartime conditions" statement to front flap and title-page. WWII era reprint of the original. The first novel featuring Detective Poirot! Light toning (as usual for wartime books) and PO inscription to FFEP. First three pages have a small chip to bottom corner. DJ exhibits wear at edges and folds with some light chipping. A very nice copy overall.
