New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1932. Early Edition. Hardcover. 5 5/8 X 8 Inches. 400 PP. Very Good / Good. Item #5838
Original red cloth binding. DJ retains $3.00 price on the front flap. An early edition of this standard text of economics. Thorstein Veblen is the namesale of "The Veblen Effect" with appraisers and book dealers know all too well - essentially being that a person's general opinion is that if something costs more, it must be better. Much writing to text as this book looks like one used in the teaching of a class. A few PO name stamps. DJ worn at edges with some paper loss to spine ends. Minor tape to DJ spine. A well used copy (or the marketer in me would say that it is unique and full of character).
