A true watershed book on the history of salvage efforts for the 1715 Spanish Fleet that went down off the coast of Florida. This copy signed by legendary treasure salvor Kip Wagner and eight other members of the Real Eight Corporation. Signed by 9 members of the Real Eight Co - Kip Wagner, LB Taylor, Del Long, Lou Ullian, Kip Kelso, Dan Thompson, Bob Johnson, John Jones and Rex Stocker! Wagner and Kelso are arguably the two most important figures in the history of the hunt for treasure from the 1715 Spanish fleet. The Real Eight Corporation was already in business and had already found an immense amount of treasure when a rag-tag Mel Fisher came to town. Fisher's first treasure work in Florida was with Wagner, Kelso, Ullian and the other members of the Real Eight Corporation. A few years after their joint venture, Fisher decided to head south for the Keys in search of the 1622 wreck of "The Atocha."
The initial meeting and partnership with Mel Fisher is detailed by Wagner throughout the book. Printed nearly twenty years before Fisher would finally live his "Today's the Day" reality, "Pieces of Eight" is the first literary account of Fisher's early ventures in Florida shipwreck hunting.
