First edition with "First Published, May, 1929" on the copyright page. Original illustrated boards with cloth spine. An in-depth look at where to hunt for vintage and modern furniture in Paris. Therese was a graduate of Radcliffe and immigrated to France in 1919. She was a noted photojournalist and founded the first American Illustrated press service in Europe (Bonney Service, 1924). She was also a noted proponent of the modern art movement of the 20's and 30's and her thousands of photographs of Paris at the time document the Art Deco influence on the city, the architecture, the furniture and the arts.
Edges and corners worn and rubbed. Some moisture damage to edges of interior. A few pages remain uncut and a few exhibit short closed tearing. Book is complete with B/W photographs as issued. A mid to low grade copy, but not ex-library.
