One of an unnumbered editions of the original First French edition of 1250 copies. Signed and inscribed "For Miss Joanna A Graham / From Eve Curie / a souvenir of my visit to Detroit. / March 31, 1939" on the half title-page. Incredibly scarce original paper issue. Eve was the youngest daughter of Marie Curie and a noted war journalist. A bit of chipping to crown and foot of spine. Clear archival tape to front joint. One small closed tear to top of front panel. Overall, a very attractive copy of this rare biography.
