Nansen's Fram expedition of 1893–1896 was an attempt by the Norwegian explorer Fridtjof Nansen to reach the North Pole by harnessing the natural current of the Arctic Ocean. While Nansen failed to reach the pole, he did go further than anyone else prior.
Original highly decorated cloth binding remains mostly sharp and clean. Hint of wear to hinges and a bit of fading to spine. A bit of scuffing to edges. Profusely illustrated.
