Stated "First Edition" on the copyright page. Original price of $2.25 intact on front flap. Very early, intimate inscription by Leaf. Signed, "For Doris, with all the best of my ancestral boat rower and Munro Leaf" directly on the FFEP. Leaf has also decorated the inscription with three original drawings. From the personal collection of Doris Thompson, owner of the Francis Scott Key bookshop in Georgetown (DC) during the 1950's and 1960's. Light mottling to the boards edges. DJ worn at edges with a few small chips and closed tears. A very attractive copy with a nice association. [Photo of Doris and the shop not included - although a copy can be emailed to you].
