Tales of the Angler's Eldorado New Zealand
New York: Harper and Brothers, 1926. First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. 7 5/8 X 10 1/2 Inches. 228 PP. Very Good / Very Good. Item #3130
Stated "First Edition" on the copyright page. One of the more sought after Zane Grey fishing titles. House in original first issue dust-jacket that has been price-clipped. Accompanied by 1923 personal check signed by Zane Grey (laid-in). Original dark blue cloth boards are tight and clean but for a bump to top corner of front board. This copy bears the ownership stamp of "BP Singer Features" on the front of DJ and FFEP. BP Singer was a newspaper syndicate, headed by Kurt Singer, who also acted as book reviewer and agent. The copy also bears the blindstamp of noted Zane Grey biographer and author, George Reiger. Reiger is the author of "The Undiscovered Zane Grey Fishing Stories" and "The Best of Zane Grey, Outdoorsman: Hunting and Fishing Tales" among others.
DJ a bit worn at edges and folds. Several creases and minor paper loss at crown and foot of spine. Given the books provenance, this is a very special copy of this title for the collector.
