Extremely rare lot of 1940 to 1942 Labour Newsletters from the Irish Labour Party. Lot includes Vol. 1, No. 1 (May, 1940) - Vol. 1, No. 13 (May, 1941) / Vol. 2, PG 1 - Vol. 2, PG 66 (the numbering system was altered to reflect pages and not issues after the first series) / Vol. 3, PG 1-4 (July, 1942). In total, the collection consists of a near complete run of the newsletter from May, 1940 to July, 1942 (from this "run" onlythe April, 1942 issue is missing). Each issue contains the original staple in the upper left corner. Each issue also contains a "two hole" punch on the left side. The original tie accompanies the lot.
The Labour News Letter contained the "Facts, Figures and Comments concerning politics and economics in Ireland" and was the official publication of the Labour Party. The issues contain the expected news of struggles in England and Ireland as they relate to the Labour Party (Democratic-Socialist Party). In addition, the issues contain news updates concerning the war, the movements of the Germans and the like. VERY SCARCE.
Very good condition overall with slight wear at staples and edges.
