First printing of one of the earliest books on the diabetes epidemic that plagues America. Written only three years after the development of insulin, Macfadden throws his hat in the ring to explain the causes and cure for diabetes. While I am no expert, eating properly (and not as much), being mostly vegetarian and/or vegan and exercising daily seem like pretty good baselines that have stood the test of time. Macfadden is credited with developing and promoting the national wave of health and fitness in America that continues to spread and grow, even after nearly 100 years. An extremely important book in the very scarce original dust jacket. A bit of scuffing and rubbing, else a fine copy.
