Very scarce original program to the December 13, 1964 Harry Truman Commendation Awards Dinner honoring General Lucius D. Clay. SIGNED ON THE FRONT COVER BY PRESIDENT TRUMAN. METROPOLITAN OPERA TENOR JAN PEERCE HAS SIGNED ABOVE HIS NAME IN THE PROGRAM AS WELL. General Clay served as deputy to General Dwight Eisenhower, was appointed military governor of occupied Germany in 1946 and was promoted to Commander in Chief of US forces in Europe from 1947 to 1949.
